CDTI Innovation announces NEOTEC 2024 call for innovative technology startups with 20 million in grants

The Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) has announced the new call NEOTEC 2024, a program aimed at innovative technology startups. This call has a total budget of 20 million euros in the form of grants. Of this amount, 5 million euros are reserved exclusively for projects led by women.

NEOTEC 2024 aims to finance around 60 small business projects in various technological and sectoral areas. Priority is given to those projects that include the hiring of PhDs, which increases their financing margin from 70% to 85%. These grants are aimed at innovative companies with a vocation for growth, which require the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity. In addition, the business strategy of these companies must be based on the development of proprietary technology and the intensive mastery of scientific and technological knowledge.

A highlight of NEOTEC 2024 is the possibility of access to specialized training provided by the Enterprise Innovation Institute of the University of Georgia (Atlanta, USA). This training seeks to strengthen the capabilities of companies and their success in the market, addressing areas such as innovation for sustainability, business strategies and internationalization processes. Projects applying for this training may receive an additional grant of up to 10,000 euros.

In the previous calls from 2015 to 2023, 966 NEOTEC projects were approved with a total budget of €394.9 million, of which CDTI provided €240 million in public support for their development.
